Well its that time of year again when large retailers launch their Christmas adverts and the BBC have reported that “John Lewis Christmas advert: Moz gets a mixed response”. Although focusing on the John Lewis advert, the article also mentions those produced by Marks and Spencer, Asda, Aldi and Sainsburys. These adverts cost a huge amount to make but must mean big business for these companies, or else why would they continue to do them? How does the like of John Lewis determine which adverts are the most successful?
